Erzurum Metropolian Municipality - EU and Foreign Affairs Branch

Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) has been involved in many EU and national projects as a coordinator or partner. By these efforts on different target groups such as youth and all disadvantaged groups (youth with social and economic difficulties and cultural differences, youth with disabilities, women and the elderly), have found a chance to participate in various project activities and benefit from the outcomes.

The EMM is actively engaged in advocacy, setting professional standards, conducting research and providing access to information and resources for its project. The main aim of the inter-cultural learning with an innovative approach to evaluate and develop projects for the solution. Depend on this purpose and main objectives, using cross-cultural interaction among young people, EMM with a range of innovative projects. One of the main aims of the center is to gain awareness of active citizenship and also to provide the young peoples with professional tutors and specific personalized courses that will positively reflect on the personal development.

The strategy of EMM EU and Foreign Affairs is based on voluntary work and committed to its young, using group dynamics to promote communication among peers and skills acquisition in favor of social development of their community and personal development of each. We value teamwork with an accountability attitude, and openness to innovation, without dogma or bias with respect for cultural diversity and fostering European awareness. We intend to develop the local level initiatives, regional and international with the active participation of young people.

Currently the staff of our organization consists of 5 people who have taken responsibility to manage the administration and activities of EU and Foreign Affairs. Our colleagues are in the former EVS volunteers and youth worker. Our multilingual colleagues to ensure the success of our international works is also available. We can create relations in English, Portuguese and Russian.
