Entaxis – Action for Inclusion and Education is a registered non-profit, non-governmental, non-religious, and non-political organisation based in the rural, agricultural village of Krinides. Our mission is to challenge social exclusion and foster an inclusive community where diversity is embraced as a strength rather than a source of division. Entaxis focuses on marginalised individuals who face either overt or subtle forms of social exclusion, particularly youth aged 15 to 35, residents of isolated agricultural areas with limited access to social services, educational opportunities, and employment systems, as well as individuals with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or mental health conditions.
Our areas of expertise include education and social inclusion policy, addressing behavioural and emotional difficulties, and advocating for youth and social justice. The core aim of Entaxis is to enhance the quality of life for vulnerable groups, as defined under Greek law 4430/2016 (Article 2, Paragraphs 8 and 9), and to uphold the human rights of these groups as enshrined in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union (2012/C 326/02) and the National Action Plan of the Greek Ministry of Transparency and Human Rights (Ministry of Justice, 2014). Our work is centred on fostering social integration by creating conditions that enable equal participation in both social and economic life.
To achieve this, Entaxis places strong emphasis on promoting fundamental rights such as access to education, employment, non-discrimination, gender equity, social assistance, child protection, and the rights of people with disabilities. We are committed to ensuring that individuals with disabilities benefit from measures designed to support their autonomy, social inclusion, and professional integration within the broader community. Our work is particularly focused on marginalised and vulnerable populations residing in the rural and agricultural regions of Krinides. Entaxis leverages the professional experience of its core management team in areas such as education for marginalised populations, social inclusion, education for non-native speakers (including third-country nationals, asylum seekers, refugees, and migrants), as well as social policy research and advocacy.
Founded in 2020, Entaxis formalised its legal structure after several years of grassroots activity. Our initiatives began in 2016 under the non-formal youth group "4youth," which engaged beneficiaries in Erasmus+ activities prior to the establishment of Entaxis. As a small-scale local NGO, we are managed by a dedicated team of five volunteers who are fully committed to the cause, without any financial compensation.
While our current operations are local and European in scope, our long-term vision is to expand our activities to regional and national levels. Our organisation adheres to EU-funded project guidelines, complies with national taxation standards, and employs robust monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure the quality and impact of our work. Last, Entaxis seeks financial backing through EU funding programmes such as Erasmus+, CERV, AMIF, HORIZON, ERASMUS, CEF, CREA, DIGITAL, EUBA, EU4H, EURATOM, ED, ESF, ESC, IMREG, INNOVFUND, I3, JUST, NDICI, PPPA, SOCPL, EP and TSI in addition to other Regional, EU, and international development associations.
