Çemberlitaş Anadolu Lisesi (upper secondary school)

We're a secondary school in Istanbul with 450 students aged 14-18. We are a public school recognised as an IB World School running Diploma Programme in the 10th and 11th grades. We also offer IGCSE curriculum in the 9th grades. As school, we were a partner in Erasmus+ KA229 during 2020-2023; and participated in KA121 projects as host school. We'd like to give our students the opportunity to work collaboratively and have the mindset of being a world citizen with EU principles.
One of the strength is that the students& teachers love working in social clubs which is something that we may not see in the schools neighboring. We're successful in this because the administration listens to and lays the groundwork for the students. For example, last year a group of students founded a new club named BlueIvy which is a Robotics club in which students built their own robot and took part in competition nationwide and was invited to take part in the competitions in the USA as they got the "Rookie All-Star" Award in their first year. https://www.instagram.com/blueivy9610/ Some other popular and working school social clubs are Model United Nations Club, Debate Club, History Club, Arts Club.
Teachers are also another strength for our school. Science teachers and Math teacher can speak English and deliver their lesson in English in international programmes.
