Aegean Ecotourism Association is a non-profit association committed to promoting responsible tourism practices that benefit conservation and communities with young members who have taken part local and international responsibility projects voluntarily. They have got experience local and international projects.
Our mission is to get a leading role and take part in international activities such as trainings, projects and educational programs relating to sustainable tourism.
Our aim is to promote ecologically sustainable tourism with a primary focus on experiencing natural areas that fosters environmental and cultural understanding, appreciation and conservation.
We would like to give a positive contribution with good, innovative practices to ecotourism while encouraging local people on sustainable tourism in our Aegean region including its villages. We would like to build up environmental and cultural respect for hosts and tourists visiting our place.
Aegean Ecotourism Association is committed to promoting and supporting efforts in leading sustainable change in the global tourism and travel industry in Ayvalık in the long run.
In the frame of association we would like to focus on local cultures, environment volunteering, personal growth and learning new ways to live on in our precious place Ayvalık and Turkey through different projects to support ecotourism while showing the side effects of mass tourism.
Our association will be included in our targets we want to achieve throughout our projects:
Non-formal and informal training activities with cultural diversity and protect the ecology, society and create awareness to integrate sustainable tourism,
In the international context, young people, youth support system representatives, NGOs and new projects and applications for the region by providing its cooperation with local governments to promote the production,
Limited facilities and Aegean region to increase the entrepreneurship in rural and ensure their active participation in social life, to contribute to the same time in the reverse migration,
Aegean village of nature and to ensure exchange of best practice among the people within the framework of the protection of cultural heritage,
develop ecotourism awareness among the peoples of the region in cooperation with local authorities; people's active participation in tourism and will allow more shares to get the boarding house from tourism, developing projects such as agriculture themed tours; The local people by marketing their products, develop projects for obtaining more income from tourism.
