,,Eco - Logic"

THE ORGANIZATION
ECO – LOGIC is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to protection and conservation of the environment, promotion of modern ecological practices, as well as monitoring and promoting the principle of sustainable development. Our organization encourages and supports positive changes in the environment in the forms of:
- Promotion of the ecology as science
- Promotion of the cleaner production concept
- Protection and conservation of nature and the environment
- Distribution of environmental knowledge and upgrade of ecological education
- Promotion of the principle for sustainable development
- Creating new “green” jobs
- Opportunity for training and involvement of all interested citizens in projects in the area of ecology and environmental protection and management

The organization is established in March 2011, and is already working on various projects, including a project that was financed by SDC (Swiss Development Cooperation Agency), project that was prepared in order to affect the population of our capitol city Skopje. The topic was mitigation of climate changes and information about their consequences on the environment and on people. Several elementary schools were targeted – results: raised awareness among the youth population, regarding environmental topics.
Also two other project were carried out, projects that were self-financed (voluntary projects from our organization members – surveys, analyses etc. – topics: sustainable transport / sustainable development).
Another project that is a collaboration between a Belgian NGO and our NGO was realized in July and August 2012, a project for connecting between the young people, the youth. This project was carried out in several locations across the country and included more than 30 people. The locations in which the research was carried out were: canyon Matka, mountain Jakupica (+ Cheples) & on the Prespa lake. More precisely, this project is an ,,eco – camp” where the Macedonian and Belgian participants realized environmental research on Macedonian flora and fauna. We are more than honored that we collaborated with JNM Brugge, the Belgian organization that was be present in Macedonia. It is an organization that is the largest in Belgium, with more than 50 years of existence, and more than 2 500 members.
Another project that we would like to be mentioned is a project carried by the organization ,,OXO” from Macedonia. This organization has a project that lasts more than 10 years, a project about raising environmental awareness, and adopting environmental life styles among the youth population in Macedonia. We were invited by their team to be involved as guest lecturers on a summer camp which they are organizing in the middle of July 2012. This eco – camp will be located in Ponikva, Osogovo.
Another ongoing project that we have is promotion of bicycle usage in cities in Macedonia, a project about sustainable transport. This project is completely financed by ourselves.
Also we are working / preparing various projects regarding forest conservation, sustainable development, brochures on various topics, dictionary of environment and ecology, some web portals with environmental topics & etc.
In near future we see Macedonia as a country that is environmentally aware, with citizens that are eager to contribute towards a cleaner and ,,greener” future. We will dedicate our knowledge and faith towards conservation and protection of our country’s environment, natural treasures, and citizen’s health.
Our team is consisted of young experts, highly educated and with a lot of experience for their age. In our team we have: environmental engineers, eco-managers, forestry expert, health manager, environmental software expert, and a high number of volunteers and part time workers.
We are planning several projects in near future.
- Conservation of forests in Central Macedonia
- Creation of the first dictionary of environment & ecology in Macedonia (English to Macedonian)
- Raising awareness handbooks/brochures on sustainable development / waste management
- Climate Change / Global Warming – How can we fight this?
