DYPALL Network

DYPALL Network (Developing Youth Participation at Local Level) is an European initiative involving local authorities (LA) and civil society organizations active in the youth field (CSO) in more than 20 European countries that aims to involve young people in the decision-making process and to enable municipalities and regional authorities to address the needs and interests of youth. At the same time this will contribute to engage youth as active actors of the solutions for their problems, increasing the level of ownership, commitment and involvement an important part of our communities that is being neglected on this level.

The members of this initiative decided to build a network of local municipalities and civil society organizations active in the youth field to jointly:

1. Develop structures and mechanisms for youth participation in decision-making at local level;
2. Identify best practices and introduce innovative approaches on public governance in cooperation with local authorities and civil society organizations active in the field of youth;
3. Foster youth engagement and inclusiveness in representative and participatory democracy processes;
4. Build capacity and provide technical assistance on various areas and processes like policy making, advocacy, structured dialogue, co-management, and more;
5. Mainstream youth policies at local and regional level (such as youth Guarantee schemes) to develop cohesive and engaged societies.

- MISSION: DYPALL stands for the creation of effective and sustainable involvement of youth on decision-making with and in cooperation with local authorities through the development of strategies, the building of structures and relations of trust and between actors.

- VISION: We believe that creating an effective and sustainable involvement of youth on decision-making, improving the work culture between local authorities and youth organizations we can contribute to implement more sustainable youth policies at local level.
