DRPDNM has 28 years of experience in education, youth, citizens, migrants, refugees, woman, families, workers, NEETs, Roma, empowerment, international cooperation, entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, intercultural competencies, sport, advocacy, international cooperation, rural development, health, hate speech, sustainable development, professions in history, culture and art, unemployment, disadvantaged groups empowerment, trainings, seminars, conferences, workshops and other activities that serve the goals of your projects.
DRPDNM is skilled in local, regional, national and international projects as it deals with projects funded by local, national and EU programmes and funds (ESF, EACEA, EIDHR, EYF, E+, CEI, IPA, BIFC, JUST, H2020, URBACT, DAPHNE III, INTERREG, INTERREG MED, INTERREG DANUBE, CENTRAL ALPINE SPACE, EuropeAid...).
We cooperate on daily basis with Slovenian and EU CSOs, Universities, Municipalities, Private and public institutions, R&Ds, SMEs, …
DRPDNM also coordinates the REGIONAL NGO CENTRE. The goal is to encourage better development of NGOs, private institutions, their skills and public image and their cooperation with Local authorities, Universities, development centres, other public institutions. Target group: cca. 1.500 NGOs and 21 Municipalities in the region Southeastern Slovenia.

DRPDNM Strategic objectives:
1. To provide a team of professionally trained workers employed for a number of years to ensure the continuity of the programmes and to expand voluntary work.
2. To increase the visibility of our Organization for key stakeholders (NGOs, public administration, economy, socially excluded groups) and to establish cooperation with them.
3. Empowerment of the narrower key stakeholders (young people, socially excluded and NGOs).
Programs to achieve our mission
A. The integration of socially excluded groups
a) Day centre for children
b) Day centre for Roma children (Day Centre Brezje, Day Centre Šmihel)
c) Promotion of intercultural dialogue
B. Promote the development of non-governmental organizations and civil dialogue
2) working with young people using culture/arts as a factor in integration into the employment market
Latest projects on youth empowerment, youth unemployment, promotion of participation and inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities: European Social Fund (Kultegracija (Cultegration), Živeti skupaj (Living Together), KULTI-PRAKTIK, Regional NGO Centre, Aktivendrzavljan.si (Active citizenship), Dvig socialnega in kulturnega kapitala v okoljih, kjer živijo predstavniki romske skupnosti, … Youth in Action (Fighting UNemployment through Networking for Youth (FUNNY)), European fund for the integration of third country nationals (Kulturneval)…
3) with experience of working with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people (NEETs)
Our programs, covering two areas of work are:
1. LIVING TOGETHER (PROGRAM OF SOCIAL INTEGRATION)
The goal: To establish conditions for more equal inclusion of alienated groups into society
Target group: Socialy excluded children and adults (Roma and migrants)
Program is based on: Efficient connection of social work with culture + active inclusion of local majority population in the process.
The activities (addressing the causes of exclusion):

• IMPROVING ADEQUATE SKILLS AND SELF-CONFIDENCE:
• Daily Centres for children: Daily canter for Children, Daily Centre for Roma Children in Roma settlements Šmihel and Brezje (Creative workshops, social workshops, Slovene language course, individual study help, leisure activities, the use of computer as a learning tool, folklore group, theatre group…)
• Educational program for adults (Roma and migrants): Slovene language and culture courses, lectures and workshops on labour market, healthy lifestyle, nutrition, illness, birth control etc.), counseling and advocacy
o Organizational help at self-organizing into associations
• PROMOTING CULTURAL IDENTITY:
o Social, educational and cultural exchanges with partners from home countries of minorities (international cooperation in the South-Eastern Europe)
o transfer of knowledge and experience onto partner organizations

• AWARENESS RAISING AMONG MAJORITY POPULATION:
Round tables, workshops on human rights, seminars and trainings, concerts, performances, celebrations, non-formal meetings with members of ethnic minorities, radio and TV broadcasts, promotional film, booklets, public calls for best essay/slogan ...
