Dalaman open prison was established in 1942. The main purpose of the open prison is to rehabilitate the criminals, teach the profession and reintegrate them into society.
The prison is an open prison. It operates in about 20 different areas. Some of these activities are: Agriculture, animal husbandry, flower growing, sales shop, cafe, restaurant, bakery, tailor, carpenter etc.

It is a public institution that operates mainly in agriculture and animal husbandry.
