CUS Firenze

The C.U.S. – Centro Universitario Sportivo di Firenze (Florence University Sports Center) – is an amateur, non-profit sports organization that has been organizing and promoting sports activities among Florentine university students for over 60 years.
The C.U.S. is affiliated with FederCUSI (Italian University Sports Federation). Institutionally, the C.U.S. organizes recreational and promotional activities, competitive and recreational events, inter-faculty tournaments, national and international meetings with representatives from other universities, basic and pre-competitive courses for numerous sports, and competitive activities at the federal level. The Board of Directors of Cus Firenze, with a four-year term, is elected by the Members' Assembly, composed of students and former university students who have carried out effective and specific activities for the C.U.S. for at least two years.

The University Sports Committee oversees the management of sports facilities and the development of related activities with regard to funds under Law 394/77 and the contribution from the University of Florence. It remains in office for two years and is composed of: one representative of the Rector, one representative of the Administrative Director with secretarial functions, two representatives of the C.U.S. (University Sports Center), and two student representatives.
