Cultural Association „Postcard” - Stowarzyszenie Kulturalne "Pocztówka"

Our head office is placed in Hajnòwka, a small town in Podlasie region, in East Poland. Podlasie has a unique history and cultural heritage is still strongly valued among the community. Also, we are surrounded by the Białowieza Forest, the biggest natural forest in Poland and one of the last in Europe. The environment around us inspires us in many ways and our projects are often a result of both regional and international explorations.
Our common goal is to work among the community organizing artistic and educational activities in order to develop people’s awareness and to keep the value of culture alive. Through the association and its theater company, A3Teatr, we want to promote folk and contemporary polish culture inside and outside the country in both culture dedicated and unofficial spaces. Following this aim, we organize performances, concerts, workshops and events in cooperation with other associations and business entities.
During these years of work, we carried out art projects sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle, the Ministry of Regional Development.
One of our main activities is the association’s theater company, A3Teatr. Our repertoire consists of 11 titles, presented on the scenes in Poland and abroad ( As artists, we are always searching for new challenges, exploring different artistic areas and always focusing on seeking human nature. To establish a connection with our public is fundamental and we are always looking for creating a full experience for the spectators in a physical and spiritual way.
Here’s some of our other main activities:
- The organization of WERTEP International Theatre Festival (;
- Art education activities for youth groups;
- Consulting and training assistance for professionals (; in our head office, we organize artistic residencies where artists can meet and focus on creating and sharing their experiences with each other;
- Voluntary cooperation of local and international breath.
For us is very important to involve local communities in our projects so we are engaged in the organization of workshops and events in collaboration with other associations of the area. Keeping in mind our aim to preserve the uniqueness of the region, we’ve been collaborating for years with Białowieza communities, organizing cultural and pro-ecological activities in order to build a cross-border dialogue and to protect our beautiful natural heritage which is the Forest.
With the purpose to spread intercultural dialogue and common creating among locals, beside all the activities described above, we are currently working on the project „Hajnòwka Centralna”, a centre of artistic activity open to everybody who wishes to be part of an enrichment of the area.
