Despega con Henko (Cultura Henko) is a Barcelona-based non-profit organisation working at the intersection of culture, gender equality, storytelling and community engagement.
Our work explores feminist perspectives, emotional well-being and social participation through audiovisual creation, communication and collaborative learning practices.
We operate with a flexible and mostly remote collaboration model, allowing us to work with diverse contributors and partners while maintaining a cultural presence in Barcelona.
Our areas of interest include:
• non-formal learning approaches connected to feminist pedagogy and emotional literacy
• audiovisual storytelling and narrative practices for empowerment and visibility
• digital culture and communication as tools for social impact
• community engagement and inclusive participation
• technology-supported formats that expand access to learning and collaboration
Despega con Henko builds on previous experience in cultural production through Tramando Producciones (2010–2019), including the interview platform Improvisats, which highlighted emerging artistic voices such as Rosalía, Niño de Elche and María Arnal.
As a young organisation, we are currently developing programmes and partnerships to pilot these methodologies within European cooperation projects, particularly in the context of Erasmus+.
Our work focuses on:
Non-formal education rooted in feminist pedagogy, emotional literacy and creative methodologies.
Audiovisual creation and storytelling as tools for empowerment, visibility, care and collective awareness.
Digital culture and media innovation, developing accessible, sustainable and technology-supported learning formats.
Community engagement, prioritising care practices and the inclusion of underrepresented voices.
Technology for social impact, integrating digital tools to foster participation, accessibility and cross-border cooperation.
European collaboration, actively participating in networks connected to gender equality, culture, youth and civil society.
Despega con Henko builds on the legacy of Tramando Producciones (2010–2019), known for its interview platform Improvisats, which amplified emerging artistic voices such as Rosalía, Niño de Elche and María Arnal. This experience strengthens our commitment to cultural education, feminist values, audiovisual innovation and the visibility of diverse perspectives.
We are currently expanding our participation in Erasmus+ to collaborate on projects related to feminist education, digital culture, arts-based learning, audiovisual storytelling, youth engagement and social innovation.
