CPIA BAT

CPIA, Provincial Centres for Adult Education, are state schools established by the Ministry of Education with Presidential Decree 29 October 2012, no. 263.
The CPIA is a structure of the Ministry of Education that creates a training offer for adults and young adults who do not have the final qualification of the first cycle of education or who have not fulfilled the compulsory education.
The CPIA is a type of autonomous educational institution with a specific organizational and educational structure and is divided into a Territorial Service Network. It has its own staff, collegial bodies like other educational institutions, adapted to the particular users; it is organized in such a way as to establish close contact with local autonomies, with the world of work and the professions by stipulating conventions, memoranda of understanding, agreements, etc.

The CPIA BAT, activated with DGR Puglia n. 579 on 26 March 2015 and with effect from 1 September 2015, consists of a central administrative office in Andria and some peripheral partner offices currently located in the cities of:
• Andria
• Barletta
• Bisceglie
• Canosa di Puglia
• Trani
• Trinitapoli whose didactic activities also concern the municipalities of Margherita di Savoia and San Ferdinando di Puglia
• Spinazzola whose didactic activities also concern the municipality of Minervino Murge.

The CPIA BAT is also responsible for prison education at the Prison and the Judicial Prison of Trani.
