COSPE (IT) is an international cooperation NGO established in 1983 promoting also Citizen’s Rightsprograms focusing in particular on the inclusion of immigrants in the education, cultural, economic, social and employment systems. Cospe performs a key role in raising awareness on the issues of racism and discrimination, supporting at the same time multicultural media at transnational, national and local levels. COSPE has been from 2001 to 2010 the National Focal Point of the RAXEN (European Information Network on Racism and Xenophobia), and from 2011 to 2014 the National Focal Point of FRANET (European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights) as well as of the Eige (European Institute for Gender Equality).
Cospe is member of the Commission "Jo Cox"on intolerance, xenophobia, racism and hate speech, created and chaired by the President of the Chamber of Deputies and of the Commission for the Strategy against online hate speech, established by the Ministry of Justice in collaboration with UNAR (the National Antidiscrimination Office).
With Roma and Sinti associations, Cospe cooperates mainly in schools, with teen-agers, teachers and families in order to prevent the problem of drop out.
