Coram's Fields is a charitable trust that owns and runs a unique seven-acre park in King's Cross, London, dedicated exclusively to children and young people. Founded in 1936 on the site of the UK's first children's charity, we remain true to our founding mission: no adult may enter without a child.
Our Youth Programme works with around 1,000 young people aged 8–25 each year, drawn from some of the most deprived neighbourhoods in central London. The majority come from low-income families; many are NEET, known to the Youth Offending Team, or living with the effects of trauma, exploitation, and violence. We offer open-access drop-in, a Girls' Group, street outreach, music production, employability support, and a trauma-informed therapeutic programme co-delivered with the NHS.
Our approach is relationship-based and non-formal. Young people co-design the programme, take on paid peer leadership roles, and are central to everything we do. Our site — with sports pitches, a music studio, arts spaces, a wildlife garden and a paddling pool — gives us a genuinely distinctive offer as a host for international exchange.
We are seeking European partners working with young people who face similar challenges: social exclusion, limited opportunity, and the pull of violence or criminality. We are particularly interested in exchanges built around sport, music and creative arts as tools for personal development, and in sharing practice around youth outreach and relationship-based youth work.
We are based in London, UK, and are preparing our first Erasmus+ application for the 2027 programme year.
