CONSORZIO SOCIALE ABELE LAVORO

The Abele Lavoro Social Consortium was born in March 1998 to give voice to the most significant experiences in the career paths of individuals in the area of hardship; provide a logistical and organizational response to field work, one of the three areas of interest of the Gruppo Abele association.
With law 381/91, it is stated that the aim of the Cooperation Association is "to pursue the general interest of the community to promote the human and social integration of citizens". In strict continuity with these intentions, the Abele Lavoro Social Consortium has coherently developed an entrepreneurial cooperation project that carries out specific production activities to allocate at least 30% of jobs to disadvantaged people (with physical, mental and sensory disabilities, over 46% of former psychiatric patients, undergoing psychiatric treatment, drug addicts, alcoholics, young people of working age in difficult family situations and prisoners admitted to an alternative sentence.
CSAL works as employment service agreed by the Piedmont Region and training service for people looking for a job with a specific competence on people with low qualification, especially people involved in social exclusion processes (drug addicts, prisoners and former prisoners, immigrants, long term unemployed, low qualified people, Neet, etc.).
CSAL working as consortium and services structure for 5 different social cooperatives operating in Turin. CSAL works in the field of training for workers and managers of the associated cooperatives and offers pre selection and staff support for all the involved companies. It collaborates with all the cooperatives of the Consortium in the fields of training and selection of staff, trying to enhance the social approach of each of the cooperative. CSAL is part of ENSIE and worked in the field of development of social enterprise culture all over Europe, improving the quality standard of the social enterprises with a particular attention to the networking and skills development of cooperatives staff.
Since its origin, CSAL brought forth a thorough analysis of job placements, in consultation with the member cooperatives and with all those territories which for various reasons are engaged on this issue. The activities of the Consortium develops on the basis of a twofold objective:
- to create jobs for disadvantaged people
- to promote the culture of social inclusion through work
CSAL aims to create employment through cooperatives members and through the profit and non-profit organizations with which he collaborates. To facilitate entry into the labor market of people marked by trails of marginalization by promoting the territory processes of social inclusion.
