Consorzio Itaca Società Cooperativa

Consorzio Itaca is a cooperative founded in 2001 , inside of the Regional Cooperative Services of Legacoop Umbria, with the aim of bringing together the cooperative and to improve the connection with the local area together with their strengthening in its key markets . ITACA today is a consortium and a "network" formed by 22 companies , mainly cooperatives , operating in the tourism sector - environment – agriculture -culture - communication - education - innovation at regional, national and international level.
ITACA qualificate the companies in the individual processes of growth, intervening in the paths of trust and cooperation with the dynamics and the local stakeholders.
Forward in time ITACA become the intermediary to assemble a relation’s and planning’s unified network with the goal to promote the cooperative system like an element of social cohesion and empowerment of individual potentiality.
The "NETWORK" model of the ITACA consortium develops processes of collaboration with European and international partners . Itaca is specialized in the design and implementation of European projects by providing the network and structured strategic partnering with others over time.
Itaca has a great experience in VET project thanks to its participation in European projects such as:
ENS - EUROPEAN NATURE SYSTEM (2013/2014). The main purpose of ENS is to define and validate the professional skills of professionals working in environmental tourism
INTERPRETING OUR EUROPEAN HERITAGE (2014/2015) Aims: activation of a new common European qualification " Interpreter of the European Heritage"
AGROECVET (2014/2015) and AGROECVET 2.0 (2015/2017) aims: recognition of the farmer's professional role at European level.
The multifaceted nature and the ability to innovate and to put at the service of companies and territory professionalism and competence, allowed in the years to be settle as a reference for the regional school system promoting and carrying out activities of collaboration with schools of all levels, which allowed the consortium to be a significant player within the Regional Network INFEA(CRIDEA).
In 2016 Itaca has received funding under Erasmus+ programme, KA1 with the project "UmbriaNET". This project involves 12 education institutions in Umbria with mobility programme.
