The Comunità Montana Sirentina (Sirentina Mountain Community - CMS) implements initiatives and exchanges good practices at international level with the aim of fostering youth engagement through the promotion of the local natural and cultural heritage.
To this objective the CMS has created, over the years, a network of services aimed at promoting the social inclusion and the detection of the needs of the local young population, with particular attention to those at risk of social and economic marginalization.
In order to promote the active citizenship of its young citizens and their intercultural skills the CMS has promoted and joined, since 2000, several international mobility projects in Europe and in the United States, targeted to local young citizens - aged 14 to 21.
In 2020 the CMS proposed the "Dialogue is participation" project under the Erasmus+ Programme - Key Action 3: "Youth Dialogue": with the aim of creating "permanent" tools and opportunities for the structured dialogue and youth participation in the civic and political spheres within the CMS.
With the aim of enlarging its international network of partner organizations the CMS is now willing to join as partner thematic consortia under the "European Youth Together" call for proposals.
