ANTI SIDA CITIZEN COMMITEE OF THE VALENCIAN COMMUNITY is a Non-Governmental organization giving support to people with HIV and SIDA. Founded in 1989 by a group of people affected by HIV, arose from their emotional and informative needs, as well as because of the lack of social and institutional awareness.
Our programmes and services intend to complement each other, forming a circuit of intervention addressing health, rehabilitation and social inclusion for people in different situations. We work in: Psychological Support in Hospitals, Day care Centre, Home Support, Housing, the Services for Children, Youth and Families. In the field of employment, we have two programmes: Labour Insertion Service and the Protected Employment Centre; for active drug addicted - a Harm Reduction Centre (Maritim).
We also assume the presidency and coordination of the National Entities Coordination Centre “Trabajando en positivo/Working in positive”, a network of entities working together for the promotion of labour integration of people living with HIV.
Our Centre is fully committed to raising awareness to promote a healthy sex life, all practices that can prevent HIV transmission, rapid test of detection, use of PREP.
We are interested in developing a project involving the Harm Reduction Centre exchanging good practices, motivating the beneficiaries from other centres to participate actively in the centre where they come on a daily base; working with HIV affected children and they family on social integration, participation through cultural and sports activities.
Looking for partners to cooperate on projects in any of our working field.
