CODECA-Center for Social Cohesion, Development and Care

CODECA - Center for Social Cohesion, Development and Care, is a non-profit organisation established and operating in Cyprus since 2016. The organisation aims, through the provision of specialised services, to reduce social inequalities, develop conditions for equal opportunities, and assist the integration of vulnerable and socially excluded groups into society.

CODECA is the sole management and service provider at the First Reception Centre (Pournara) and Reception & Accommodation Centres (Kofinou & Limnes) in Cyprus. The Organisation has designed and is a currently implementing an innovative intervention which offers semi-independent housing solutions to a large number of Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children as well as migrant families and vulnerable and socially excluded groups of the local society (families and single mothers with children). Services provided include but are not limited to psycho-social support, legal and social counseling, educational activities, and training.

CODECA has established, an on-going collaboration with leading Universities in Cyprus and abroad, NGO’s and research organisations, Municipalities, grass-root organisations, and public and private institutions, for the development and implementation of innovative research activities, training workshops, and education and training materials to staff and partner organisations alike through the CODECA Learning HUB.

CODECA is successfully involved as a partner organisation in CERV, AMIF, ERASMUS+ Projects, and as Regional Co-ordinator (District of Nicosia) in a Project implemented through the Intercultural Cities Programme and the European Commission’s Directorate General for Structural Reform Support (DG Reform), in partnership with the Civil Registry and Migration Department of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Cyprus.

CODECA is also looking to expand it's expertise and experience through EU Co-Funded Projects in the fields of environment, sustainability and digital literacy.

Due to our multi-facet expertise in the fields of social care and welfare, we are able to contribute to the project demands as well as the development of the project proposal.

As partners and in accordance with the proposal’s needs, we can offer our expertise in the following areas:
1. Contribute to the writing process of the proposal
2. Design and implement educational activities and training
3. Develop various toolkits to meet the objectives of a specific topic
4. Supervision services to social welfare practitioners, and other private or public actors
5.Create and implement a well-rounded dissemination strategy
