Code-X International is an independent non-profit organization based in The Netherlands.

We provide voluntary work and learning opportunities through community projects which promote transformational, sustainable personal and community development around the World.

We bring together people and partners of diverse faiths, ethnicities, nationalities, and cultures to address profound social needs by cultivating common values and respect for differences.

We believe that global peace, justice and sustainable development begins with the inner peace and personal development fostered by service to others and that active international cooperation provides the foundation and hope for a better future.

Our central mission —our raison d'être —is to connect the personal development of youth with the needs, values and employment opportunities of the international community. Our motto: Get inspired and become a World Citizen!

We aim to inspire youth and help them to find their own paths in the worldwide community as active global citizens. We work to instill and support the many traits of active citizenship —understanding, friendship, cooperation, solidarity —among young people across different social and cultural contexts.

We organize international youth exchanges and voluntary work, as well individual and group exchanges, expeditions and youth conferences. We work to inspire youth to discover and explore their talents, thus expanding their boundaries and skills.

By and large, we offer youth the chance to fully experience the process of community development, its impact and necessity. Through voluntary work abroad, young people will be actively exposed to the differences (and remarkable similarities) between their cultures and others. And through work in developing countries, this exposure will highlight the relative richness and fortune of the West in comparison to the realities of poverty and hunger elsewhere. This experience will challenge volunteers' ethics and ideals and will (hopefully) influence their political, occupational, ideological, and social choices in the future.
