Cleaningans Environmental Organization

The Environmental Organization Cleaningans was officially established in 2025, based in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki, while it had been informally created and active since February 2021. It consists of a group of young, deeply environmentally conscious individuals who share a common vision and a core mission to intervene, clean up and upgrade environmentally burdened areas from all kinds of waste.

The organization is engaged in the planning, organization and coordination of cleanup actions with the support of volunteers and active citizens, as well as in the implementation of educational programs and awareness activities in educational institutions of all levels. Through these initiatives, it seeks to highlight environmental education and volunteerism as key pillars of cultural change and social participation.

With a strong focus on active citizens participation and the cultivation of environmental awareness, the organization aims to inspire society as a whole, especially the younger generation, to develop respect for the environment, to change and to adopt a new mindset, one that is friendlier and more sustainable.
