Civil Forum - the unique non-state officially operating youth organization in Belarus. Civil Forum acts in order to raise the civil activity of young people and encourage them to be socially and politically involved.The organization was founded in 1996.
The main activities of the organization:
1. development non-formal education;
2. development youth political activism;
3. promoting liberal ideas;
4. projects, aimed for the development of civil society and democratic valuables in Belarus and Europe.
5. political participation in electoral process including observer's missions.
6. gender issues, promoting equal gender rights.
Civil Forum have a few gender projects too (for example, the project for increasing of the role of women in belorussian society and political system).
The organization have good international contacts, by working with partners from Ukraine, Czech Republic, Germany, Norway, Sweden and others. Civil Forum is the full member of IFLRY, LYMEC, EVS (the member of EVS since 2012), European Minority Youth Network (since 2014), Masterpeace (since 2016).
Civil Forum holds seminars, conferences and trainings for its members, as well as cultural and sports events, and organizes youth camps and role plays, study circles and debates. Many events are aimed to teach young people proper election technics.
In 1999 Civil Forum won Margaret Tatcher's award as the best youth democratic organization in Europe.
