The Pluto is a EU funded former youth Club - now a comminity centre. Daily children and youth work. On week-ends youth cultural work, f.e. concerts. Herne is twinned with Henin-Beaumont in France, Wakefield in GB, Konin in Poland, Belgorod in Russia and Ometepe, Nicaragua. Exchanges with Italy as well. Periferia Action with y.p. from Tor Bella Monaca in Roma and Scampia, Napoli. The y.p. from our Region are Germans, many with a Migration Background.
