CITRUS-SOLIDARITES JEUNESSES MIDI-PYRENEES

Citrus is the South-Western delegation of Solidarités Jeunesses. Our philosophy is the construction of peace in the world, working together, fighting ignorance, and promoting difference as a great value for intercultural exchanges. Concretely we organise international summer workcamps and European cultural projects within YiA. We host long-term volunteers for EVS and civil service. We work mostly in small villages in the countryside. We have a permanent workcamp, in order to restore an ancient farmhouse designed to become an international hosting centre. We also have a team of workers on a social and professional inclusion programme. Our environmental action is based on various activities in the garden, as well as the creation of an ecological area with ponds and plants. On all our projects we collaborate with local people of all kinds : children, teenagers, old people, artists, people with fewer opportunities, neighbours...
