CITCCAD

CIT Crawford College of Art & Design (CCAD) is a vibrant multi-campus College, which has been providing education in the arts for over 200 years. .

The Art Participation and Development programme in CIT CCAD has been running for 4 years. It is about using creativity to ignite passion for learning about our interdependent world. It is about considering the connection between the local and the global- thinking and acting 'glocally.' It is about moving from ideas to actions and becoming part of the changes you want to see.
The programme has a strong experiential learning approach, with peer learning featuring as a key element. The programme creates space for participants to bring their interests and passions and to begin to put ideas and learning into practice. Creative methodologies are used throughout the programme with a focus on visual arts and theatre.

The programme has been working with youth workers,, those in the field of non - formal learning. In the last year we have developed a strong relationship with Youth work Ireland and are increasing our level of cooperation and training with the youth sector.
