CISC - Centro di Iniziativa Socio Culturale

CISC is a democratic non-profit association that promotes culture and social solidarity , supporting and encouraging the free association of citizens as a fundamental practice of democracy and practical response to the needs of the community.
It's a second level association composed of about 80 members, 15 of which are non-profit organisations that carry out their own activities in sport and culture. Taking into account both its members and affiliated institutions , CISC reaches out approximately 2400 people.
The association supports the civic engagement of young people in all its forms , with special attention to disadvantaged. Through collaboration and partnership with affiliated associations , CISC is actively involved in the promotion of activities and projects designed to encourage the involvement of young people in areas such as equal opportunities, promotion of children's rights , fight against racism and xenophobia. In this context, CISC works in partnership with public institutions ( local authorities, schools and universities, etc.) that financially support the projects of the association.
CISC is also engaged in the empowerment of associations providing assistance to its members in the legal , fiscal , organisational area and promoting educational activities in the field of association management, social communication and fundraising. These activities represent one of the main forms of self-financing actitivities carried out by the association.
