CHIMERA

CHIMERA is an organization for social promotion, officially established in the rural area of the italian Molise Region.

It has the purpose of pursuing the general interest of the community to the human promotion and social integration of citizens, with
particular focus to the socially disadvantaged groups.

We offer learning opportunities and international mobility for young people, in informal and non-formal contexts.

Our mission is to promote a culture of participation, inclusion and democracy, which starting from the local reality, takes off at national and European level.

CHIMERA works in synergy with local, national and European realities, with which it organizes events, meetings and socio-educational activities at a multicultural and multidisciplinary level.

Our goal is to create a cultural, social and economic environment that is inclusive, sustainable and respectful of young people, where no one is left out or left behind.

The organization is inspired by the principles expressed by ;
- the Declaration of Human Rights signed at the UN on December 10, 1948
- the Convention on the Rights of the Child
1989 and
- the Earth Charter signed by UNESCO in 2000
and aims to carry out inclusive activities for personal growth, learning for all, cooperation activities and to act for the developement of innovative policies in the fields of education, youth and sports.

We support sustainable growth, social cohesion, the promotion of innovation and the strengthening of
European identity and active citizenship and promote cooperation in the field of youth.

To achieve our objectives, our actions encompass:

1. promoting, encouraging and supporting the active participation of young people in collective life at local, regional,
national and European levels, with a view to healthy, sustainable and prosperous societies;
2. Empowerment of young people, women and vulnerable groups, in order to improve soft and hard skills and
promote access for all to our activities and to the life of Europe;
3. promotion of art, culture and creativity, in all their forms, also as a method of social inclusion;
4. the design, organization and management of centers of aggregation, centers of cultural and recreational activity, including
4. the design, organization and management of community centers, centers of cultural and recreational activity, including play libraries, media libraries, documentation centers and any other service aimed at training, information, socialization and
assistance in favor in particular of young people and others in need;
5. the organization and management of activities and services to combat and remove all forms of discrimination and activities for the
promotion of equal gender opportunities;
6. the promotion and management of activities and services of a recreational, entertainment, cultural, training and educational nature, aimed at
encourage the acquisition, maintenance and recovery
6. the promotion and management of activities and services of a recreational, entertainment, cultural, training and educational nature, aimed at encouraging the acquisition, maintenance and recovery of intellectual, motor and emotional functions of young people in conditions of need or disadvantage;
7. the organization and management of services/information desks of public utility such as youth information point and reception desk for migrants

Our team brings together people who have a variety of interests,experiences and skills, which combined together create a strong team able of assuming all areas of responsibilities associated with the implementation of our actions.
