Cesc Project

CESC-PROJECT is an association founded in Rome from May 15, 2000. Cesc Project Aims are:
1. To promote and develop policies in support of the civil service through an action of development of the principle of social solidarity, especially among young people.
2. To promote cooperation and understanding between people from sud and north, through international volunteering and specific projects of cooperation in Africa and Sud America.
3. To promote and develop activities of civic volunteering, or educational activities for citizenship, with particular attention to social inclusion and employment for disadvantaged people, including the provision of financial assistance.
4. To coordinate the activities of various organizations that are interested in the civil service and work for the purposes provided for by Article1 of Act 64/2001.
5. To introduce, qualify and strengthen the civil service, both in Italy and abroad, as a tool for the construction of a citizenry conscious, and as a contribution to the development of a civil society united, peaceful and nonviolent.
Cesc Project activities concern the coordination of institutions and civil service, both members of the association and entities not members, the provision – to shareholders or to third parties – for services related to the design, the management, the evaluation, the mentoring and monitoring of civil service projects and every other kind of social projects, training activities and information relating to the civil service in general and the Not For Profit Sector, the study and research on areas of intervention mentioned Law 64 of 2001, and in-depth study of communication processes, collection and processing of data relating to the civil service and social phenomena associated with it (in particular, voluntary associations, third sector, etc.). Cesc Project also aims to promote community service through appropriate support, designed to advertise, inform and qualify the service itself, possibly by initiating specific activities of study, research, training and planning.
Cesc Project is a coordination of organizations, which now aggregates 37 entities, many of which are linked by more than a decade by the commitment in the civil service and in the themes of peace. 6 municipalities are part of the federation, 10 associations of social promotion, 1 Foundation, 9 Social Cooperatives, 2 Religious Associations, 1 University, 8 Associations partners abroad. These bodies are present in 12 Italian regions: Abruzzo, Lazio, Marche, Tuscany, Sardinia, Sicily, Emilia - Romagna, Lombardy, Piedmont, Campania, Puglia and Calabria. Cesc Project is also present in eight foreign countries: Cameroon, Tanzania, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Brazil and Argentina.
