Centre for children, youth and family

NGO „Centre for children, youth and family“ Laktaši (CDMPL) was established and registered in 2002 as non-governmental, non-profit and youth organization on the initiative of several youngsters and local activist with the desire to strengthen youth non-governmental sector and to start a process of development and recognition of youth work and volunteerism on local level.
Our vision is to build an active and responsible civil society in our comunity.
Our mission is to promote, encourage and develop life values and social integration in our community through professionality, team work and creativity.
Since 2002 we are continuously implementing programs aimed towards youth and in the past four years we have been also implementing programs focused on young parents and their preschool children as well as on children and youth with disabilities and their families.
Our members and beneficiaries are primarily youth and young parents and their children.
Currently we are implementing our programs in the main administrative unit of our municipality, the town Laktasi and in four villages.
Our programs are aimed towards the improvement of the status and the empowerment of local youth, in order to become actively involved in society and gain personal and social benefits.
Being part of our Centre, young people get the opportunity to create and implement their own ideas and to join us into the realization of programs aimed toward youth that we implement, in order to actively participate in the development of social life of our community and grow on both individual and social level.
In our programs we put an accent on promoting informal education and volunteering, trying to enhance young people’s participation, leadership skills and engagement in civil society.
In 2012, within our organization we established Local Volunteers Service and currently we have 73 registered volunteers .
Since March 2013 we are also acredited as EVS sending and hosting organization.
We have long term experience with organizing non formal education projects and local manifestations that were financed by Municipality Laktaši, Ministry of family, youth and sport of entity of Republic of Srpska, Ministry of education and culture of Republic of Srpska, UNICEF BIH and UNDP BIH and since 2012 we are financed directly from Municipalites budget as organization of special interset on local level.
In the past two years we have experince as partners in IPA Crossborder program Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina
We are accredited as sending and receiving organization for EVS and so far we received two volunteers.
