The Partner-Finding Tool
CAFPH's objects are the preservation and protection of good health and wellbeing, the advancement of education, the relief of poverty, sickness and distress to those members of the public in communities resident in the East of England. CAFPH has had a specialised children and young people service providing a range of activities including mentoring, health improvement services through awareness workshops and outreach services and life skills development. When CAFPH was set up the focus was more on HIV/AIDS and families, however we are now focusing on the lifecourse of young people and their families in order to reduce inequalities in the health and social-economic status of young adults.
CAFPH provides a centre where we provide drop in, one to one, health advice for example how to registering with a GP, referrals to specialist services for example we are one of the organisations that can fast track clients to the GUM clinic, we work with a number of faith communities as faith is an integral part of many people especially those in the minority communities, we provide support for young people and currently we have a mentoring project supported by Children In Need. We provide workshops on a range of issues including finance, health, law and legislation, employment, education and immigration support.
This Project works with young people from high deprivation areas and we work to improve their chances of improving education and accessing employment
