Center for the Protection of Children

CPC was established in Kyrgyzstan in 1998 by a group of individuals committed to the protection of children's rights, the care of their development, and their reintegration into society.
CPC focuses particularly on children living in socio-economic hardship, working to bring about positive changes in their lives and those of their families.
Our NGO pursues its mission by providing psycho-emotional support to children, fostering the development of their life and social skills, encouraging personal growth, and promoting active citizenship.
CPC’s work is diverse and includes both short-term projects and ongoing actions.
The most important of these long-term initiatives is a shelter for children who have been separated from their families, while awaiting foster care or reunification with their parents. Secondly, CPC runs two centers where food distributions and recreational activities are organized for disadvantaged children. Lastly, the shorter-term interventions include activities involving parents, social workers, as well as teachers and students from numerous schools across the country.
