Center for Media and Democracy

The Center for Media and Democracy is a Tunisian independent research institution that works on the national and Arab levels in the field of research, studies, training and consultation in the fields of media, democracy, political and democratic transformation.
The Center cooperates in order to achieve its objectives with all the research and scientific bodies and with the governmental and non-governmental institutions that share with it in its fields of interest and competencies according to the established principles in such bodies and fields.

Objectives:
The Center aims to achieve the following:
1- Developing in-depth scientific research in the field of media and communication, issues of democracy and political transformation.
2 - to make scientific reports on the performance of the media and its role in the democratic transformation in the Arab world
3 - Provide insights on the reform and organization of the media system after the revolution
4 - Establishment of free and responsible media commensurate with the social and political development in Tunisia
5- Developing awareness among Arab societies about the importance of the media in social change.
6 - Training and qualification of specialized press and academic expertise to raise the level of performance
Media in Tunisia and abroad.
7- Developing a network of media professionals and researchers interested in the media field in order to exchange experiences and enrich the democratic transition in the Arab world.
