CEMEA de BOURGOGNE FRANCHE-COMTE

Ceméa BFC is a major and unique player in several areas:
Training in youth work
• It offers all diploma courses: BAFA, BAFD, CPJEPS, BPJEPS, DEJEPS, DESJEPS and professional qualifications (e.g. Digital Mediator).
• Few other associations in BFC offer all these training courses. Ceméa BFC is therefore a center of excellence for professional and voluntary training.
Social and cultural inclusion
• Ceméa BFC enables everyone to access leisure, cultural, and educational activities, particularly in priority neighborhoods.
• They organize intergenerational and cultural activities such as the Paroles Nomades festival, theater with the APF, and digital mediation initiatives.
International mobility and openness to the world
• The association sends and welcomes volunteers through the European Solidarity Corps, offers European mobility programs, and organizes youth exchanges.
• These projects develop intercultural, linguistic, and civic skills and offer young people their first international experience.
Associative cohesion and partnerships
• Ceméa BFC runs a network of activists and works with many local partners.
• They support educational and social projects, promote intergenerational encounters, and strengthen community life in the region.

In the Bourgogne–Franche-Comté region, Ceméa BFC stands out for its comprehensive range of training courses, its local roots, and its expertise in international mobility. Few other associations can offer professional training leading to qualifications, social and educational support in the region, and international projects for young people.
By combining local actions and international projects, Ceméa BFC plays a key role in the empowerment, inclusion, and openness to the world of young people and the communities it serves, establishing itself as a key player in popular education in BFC.

International dimension
Openness to the world and interculturality are strategic priorities for Ceméa BFC. The association develops:
• The sending and hosting of international volunteers via the European Solidarity Corps.
• European mobility integrated into vocational training.
• Youth exchanges, promoting intercultural encounters and the sharing of experiences.
These projects strengthen participants' personal and professional skills, autonomy, and self-confidence. They offer young people from priority neighborhoods or remote areas the opportunity to have their first international experience, which is essential for their emancipation and citizenship.
As part of the Erasmus+ program, Ceméa BFC has various accreditations enabling it to develop mobility in the following sectors:
1. Vocational education and training.
2. Adult education.
3. Youth.
Ceméa BFC also holds the European Solidarity Corps Lead Label, which enables us to coordinate, support, and develop European volunteer projects, ensuring high-quality support, educational monitoring, and administrative management of mobility programs.

Why this international project?
The international project led by Ceméa BFC addresses two major challenges:
1. Promoting intercultural openness and civic engagement by enabling participants to discover other cultures, cooperate, and develop active European citizenship.
2. Reducing inequalities in access to mobility by offering young people and supported groups in the region the opportunity to enjoy formative, rewarding, and empowering experiences.
This international project is therefore fully in line with Ceméa's missions: education, training, inclusion, and personal development, while strengthening regional roots and social cohesion.
