Mission
To respond and challenge the causes and consequences of vulnerability and illiteracy in slum communities with commitment to mobilize tools they need to overcome challenges and live a self sustaining life with diginity
Established in 2010,THOUGH legally registered in 2012 Community Empowerment For Village Development (CEFOVID) is a small community organisation based in Kampala Uganda. We work closely with the most vulnerable communities in the city.

Due to urban expansion, along with the unequal distribution of resources, many low-income, densely packed areas are seeing a dramatic rise in socio-economic deprivation, alongside environmental degradation.

Our mission
Is to empower these affected people and facilitate their socio-economic development through finding sustainable solutions to community problems.
Our activities include resource planning and distribution, increasing access to healthcare, education and training, and working provide solutions to sanitation and waste issues within the community.

Here are some examples of the work we do:

- Community Clean-ups
- Health Camps (free medical services for community members)
- Education For Life Project (sponsoring and enrolling vulnerable children at local schools)
-Life skills training in computer,Tailoring and design,urban farming and crafts

Through the continuation of our work, we hope to build self-sufficient, independent, stable communities. The retention of traditional cultural heritage and values of our people, alongside continuous technological, social advancement, is integral to what we do.
