Graši Children's Village was founded in 1995 and was the first private orphanage in the Baltics after Latvia gained independence. Children and young people are provided with a family environment, extensive educational and personal development opportunities, which, against the general background of out-of-family care institutions, stands out the proportion of young people who obtain professional and higher education and are able to start a permanent life. In their free time, children and young people engage in sports, music, crafts, art, amateur theater.
The goal of the project is to provide young people with knowledge about ancient crafts, without which life was unthinkable just a hundred years ago.
