Capital foundation (foundation.capital.bg) is a non-profit organisation based in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Main goals of the foundation are to support and promote democratic values, civic participation and sustainable development.
In recent years Capital foundation has successfully implemented and contributed to more than 20 projects within the goals mentioned above. These projects were supported by distinguished institutions like European Parliament, European Commission, World Bank, UN, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ministry of environment and water of Bulgaria, Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe, America for Bulgaria Foundation, EEA Grants, International conservation organization WWF, (please see http://foundation.capital.bg/en/category/projects/).
Capital foundation works in close cooperation with its sister organization Economedia (www.economedia.bg). Economedia is considered the most respected media group in Bulgaria, publisher of Capital weekly (most influential newspaper in Bulgaria), www.dnevnik.bg (most respected news site), http://www.karieri.bg (trainings, education and jobs), and special interest publications (food and wines, FMCS) among others.
Economedia enjoys an audience of 1.8 million per month – mainly decision makers and opinion leaders.
