The Community Cultural Center "Probuda 1928" fulfills several functions at once, such as a community center, library, and a mediator between the Municipality and the citizens of the town. It is also a common non-formal educational institution, where people of all ages can enroll in folk dance classes, foreign language, music, and other courses.
Curious fact is that the Bulgarian Community Cultural Centers (Bulgarian: chitalishte) were selected in 2017 for the UNESCO's List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in the category Good Safeguarding Practices

As part of the community, we are dealing and solving issues concerning inclusion of ethnic groups in the town's everyday life. Our community center is also a great place for knowledge transfer in a non-formal educational environment.
The Community Center in located in the town of Byala, a small town and seaside resort in Eastern Bulgaria, located on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast in Varna Province. The town offers an amazing sea view over the Black Sea, charming beaches and excellent conditions for a relaxing stay.
For the sixth year in a row at the end of June, the seaside town of Byala was a host of The National Assembly of Community Centers. The event was organized by our Community Center with the support of Byala Municipality and the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture.
The number of participants exceeded 1000, and the community centers that were presented were over 60.
