Bursa Fire Department

Bursa is the fourth biggest city of Turkey. It has a population of about 3 million people, and it is on a surface area of about 10.886 km². Several kinds of industries such as automotive, textile, furniture, leather, technology and machines are located in the city.

The fire department of Bursa was established in 1923 and offers service with 475 professionals and 503 volunteer firefighters in the city and in the nearby places in case of emergency, search and rescue, natural disasters like fires. Because of the density of the population, the surface and the high number of industries there is a very high activity of search and rescue.
