Our school was established in the 2001-2002 academic year as USO High School. It consists of a total of five floors (basement, ground, and three upper floors) and two blocks. In the 2002-2003 academic year, a Foreign Language Intensive Program was introduced at our school. In the 2005-2006 academic year, our school became an Anadolu High School and continues its educational activities as an Anadolu High School.
Our school is located in Burdur, a small city in the Mediterranean region of Turkey. The school has 5 floors and 20 classrooms, including a biology laboratory, physics laboratory, chemistry laboratory, conference hall, music workshop, library, language classroom, cafeteria, canteen, and a beautiful garden. Currently, 15 classrooms are actively used.
Our staff consists of a principal, an assistant principal, and 42 teachers in subjects such as positive sciences (mathematics, chemistry, biology, etc.), social sciences, foreign languages (English and German), art, and music. In addition to the teachers and administrators, there are 3 clerks, 2 assistants, and 5 cleaning staff working at the school.
The socio-economic status of our students is generally middle and lower income. Some of our students live in nearby villages and commute to school using the school bus service. Overall, our school has 385 students aged between 14 and 18.
As a high school, we have been continuing our success since 2001 with a quality, innovative, and modern educational approach. We contribute to the education of new generations who are constantly improving themselves, drawing strength from their experiences and successes.
Our educational program is based on 5 main principles, and our goal is to ensure that our students reach the highest level in these 5 areas:
Acquiring and applying academic knowledge in all subjects
Acquiring foreign languages and effective communication
Preparing for the transition to the next educational level and achieving goals
Social sharing and cultural accumulation in all aspects of life
Proper use of technology and productivity
In education, we use technologies such as digital memberships, mobile applications, data matrices, and distance learning portals, along with printed publications. While traditional education continues, we aim to help our students learn more easily, permanently, and enjoyably through all these educational technologies. Furthermore, we strive to ensure that learning takes place not only at school but also outside of school, at home, and while traveling.
