Blooming Horizons

Despite being a newcomer organisation, the association has members with extensive experience in creating and organising local projects, Erasmus+ projects and European Solidarity Corps projects. Our diverse group came together through these EU-funded opportunities and local projects, which inspired us to create our association.

We chose Gran Canaria as our base because most of us reside in that area. Canary Islands, Gran Canaria in particular, offers limited opportunities and activities for young people beyond bars and occasional summer concerts and sport activities. Our goal is to change that by providing a space where young people can discover their potential, feel inspired, and be empowered to engage more actively and civically in their community.

Through our initiatives, we aim to foster a sense of interculturality and belonging in Gran Canaria by facilitating international mobilities and organizing local activities in which locals, tourists and Erasmus+ participants can find experiences and support each other in their common interests, learning from each other. These experiences not only broaden horizons but also have a lasting positive impact on local society. By doing so, we hope to make a significant contribution to the community, creating a more vibrant and inclusive environment for the locals of Gran Canaria.
