Bildungswerkstatt Knittlingerhof (private school and kindergarten)

"Bildungswerkstatt Knittlingerhof" is a progressive teaching private school with public status and a kindergarten in Upper Austria, near the town of Ried (12000 inhabitants). It is located in the rural area between Linz and Passau. In our school, about 80 children from 6 to 16 years develop in self-organised learning. A relaxed and pleasant atmosphere with respectful relationships shall encourage learning. Our focus is on social and informal learning through independent learning as well as activities offered by teachers.

Volunteers should be interested in pedagogic, teaching, working with children of all ages and developing projects with children, parents and teachers. Experience is not required, but the volunteer should have a strong motivation for living and working with children in a non-conventional way.
