Biga Medical Vocational High School

Biga Medical Vocational High School is highly respected vocational training center in this area that is welcoming in the health needs of health staff equipped with the necessary knowledge and training skills. It also follows closely health technology. Our basic function is to educate individiuals who is devoted to fundamentals of Republic and Atatürk's principles and reforms and also the individuals that can communicate well and are equipped with vocational and technical knowledge,adopt rights of patients.In the 2006-2007 Academic year, our school has been recorded in third in Project Based Skills Competition in Turkey. In Project-Based Skills Competition Finals in Turkey, our school is first among Medical Vocational High Schools and third in Vocational High Schools. Our school began on 13th September in 1990. It has two departments,Emergency Medical Technician(paramedic) and Nursing. In 11th and 12th grade our students have training period in hospitals. After they graduate,they can go to university or start working in a hospital however the want. On the other hand, our school has 19 teachers and 233 students. Our students are between 15 and 18 years old. The students are accepted to the school according to an exam for attending a high school, those who are more successful are accepted to the school. Therefore, the success of school is highly good. They have professional education at school so they can easily find a job. And the school has 9 classrooms, 3 workshops, 1 classroom for Computer Sciences, a dining hall, a teachers’ room. Our lessons start at 8.20 a.m and 5.10 p.m.
