Batman Zihinsel Engellileri Eğitim ve Koruma Derneği (Batman, Education and Protection of Mentally Handicapped Association )

Batman, Education and Protection of Mentally Handicapped Association was established on 2004 ,in Batman ( South-East Region) and is looking for partners (including Turkey ) for EU projects especially for Special Needs People based projects.

Some activities are as follows.
1- Organizing meetings (Panel, Workshop) to find solutions to the problems of the Handicapped People (Education, Social Security and Employment)
2- To organize various courses to ensure the participation of handicapped people in society,
3- Helping the employment issues of handicapped people,
4- To contribute effectively to the policy-making mechanisms at the local and national level for the handicapped people,
5- To cooperate with non-governmental organizations, business world, public institutions/organizations related to handicapped people to solve the problems of handicapped people,
6- To cooperate with NGOs with Handicapped Associations throughout the region, country and EU.

The activities carried out or assisted by Batman Mentally Handicapped Association since its establishment in 2004 are as follows.
1-Within the Social Support Program in the disadvantaged regions (SODES) program, which was started to be implemented in 2008, an Open-Air Sports Area with 500 Handicapped People was created,
2- Vocational Course was given to approximately 200 handicapped people with the support of Turkish Employment Agency,
3- Some meetings related Handicapped People, Cooperation with Governorship of Batman, Batman Municipality, Business Organizations, Chamber of Commerce and Industry supports (Panel Workshop) was organized in the different dates.
