Bartın Directorate of National Education is an institution in the provincial organization of the Ministry of National Education within the structure of the Republic of Turkey. The legal authority, duties and responsibilities of the Bartın Directorate of National Education have been determined especially on the basis of the T.C. Constitution, the Basic Law of National Education No. 1739 and the Decree Law No. 652 on the Organization and Duties of the Ministry of National Education. Our Directorate, which has a structure established in line with the Constitution, is responsible for the execution of the duties in the provincial organization of the Ministry of National Education and the realization of the state's policies under the governor's office. In this sense, our Directorate is primarily responsible to the governor's office, which is the representative of the state, government and ministries in the provincial organization. The Ministry of National Education has responsibilities such as fulfilling the responsibilities undertaken on behalf of the state, monitoring, evaluating and developing the units affiliated to it within the framework of the basic principles of National Education in line with Laws, Decrees, Regulations, Directives, Circulars and Orders. According to the principles of the Ministry of National Education Provincial and District Directorates of National Education Regulation, the main duties and responsibilities of the Directorate of National Education are;
To manage, direct, supervise and coordinate the education policies and strategic plans of the Ministry in line with the legislation and programs, and to carry out these duties within the framework of the division of labor between the provincial and district administrators.
To prepare pre-school, primary and secondary school students for the future by equipping them with the knowledge and skills that develop them in terms of physical, mental, moral, spiritual, social and cultural qualities and that are required by the social structure based on human rights and the global competitive economic system; to implement education and training programs; to carry out and supervise the education and training services of teachers and students within this framework.
To implement, monitor and coordinate the implementation of policies and strategies that facilitate access to education and ensure that every citizen can benefit from education opportunities equally.
To train all individuals that have a balanced and healthy personality and character in terms of body, mind, morals, spirit and emotions, have the power of free and scientific thinking, a broad world view, respect human rights, value personality and enterprise, have responsibility towards society, and are constructive, creative and productive people.
To ensure that all individuals are prepared for life by developing their interests, talents and abilities, by acquiring the necessary knowledge, skills, behaviors and the habit of working together, and to ensure that they have a profession that will make them happy and contribute to the happiness of the society.
To implement and coordinate the implementation of policies and strategies that will expand the participation of female students, persons with disabilities and other segments of society in need of special attention in education.
To implement and coordinate the implementation of special education and training programs that protect and develop these qualities of people with special abilities.
To monitor and evaluate the performance criteria determined for educational institutions, administrators, teachers and employees, the use of teaching materials, the implementation of education and training programs, and teacher competencies.
To manage public resources effectively by establishing a citizen-oriented administration, improving the administration, increasing the quality of management, determining service standards, establishing business and decision processes, reducing bureaucracy and paperwork.
While providing education and training services; To ensure the effective, economic and efficient use of public resources, accountability and financial transparency in line with the policies and objectives included in the development plans and programs.
To provide educational tools and equipment for the use of those concerned in accordance with the developing educational technology, programs and methods, by ensuring that the buildings and facilities of educational institutions of all degrees and types are built and equipped according to the needs of the environment and the characteristics of the programs to be applied.
National education directorates carry out basic education, secondary education, vocational and technical education, religious education, special education and guidance, lifelong learning, private education institutions, information processing and education technologies, measurement, evaluation and examination, higher education and foreign education, strategy development, construction and real estate, human resources management and support services through units/offices directly reporting to the director of national education.
