Barrio De Oportunidades

Barrio de Oportunidades (BaDeO) is a training centre that strongly believes in the innovation, modernisation and internationalisation of education by proposing itself as a hosting partner for Erasmus mobility projects run by schools, training providers and other organisations engaged in social promotion and formal and non-formal education for young people, adults and staff. BaDeO's mission is to improve the quality of education in Europe, contributing to the realisation of the European Education Area, fostering the exchange of good practices and innovation in education and training, reducing the skill mismatch in the local and European labour market also by promoting the internationalisation and harmonisation of professional figures within the EU for both young and adult learners.
BaDeO carries out activities in the field of education, intercultural dialogue, training and professionalization guided by a cross-sectorial multidisciplinary approach: its work is based on providing professional and educational pathways for youngsters (structured training courses, professional work experience and work placements) and upskilling opportunities for teachers and school staff.
In particular BaDeO, thanks to its extensive network of local companies, can organise internships for students in various fields, modelling them on the basis of the specific skills and learning expectations of the participants, through a careful knowledge and ability assessment, an orientation session and an interview with the host company. With regard to training for teachers and staff in formal and non-formal education, the organisation delivers training courses, job shadowing and other structured events aimed at language enhancement, learning and experimenting with innovative teaching methods, and the creative use of digital media.

For the implementation and management of every training activity, BaDeO’s approach includes taking care of every aspect of the individual's mobility, providing logistical, board and lodging services to participants, ensuring organisational and individual mentoring and support before, throughout and after the mobility.
