Baltic Foundation for Future Education

Baltic Foundation for Future Education (BFFE) is a Latvian non-profit foundation working to connect young people, schools, educators and international partners through innovative education and European cooperation.
Our main areas of work include youth participation and active citizenship, AI and future skills in education, critical thinking and debate, teacher development, educational research, and international learning opportunities.
BFFE develops youth participation initiatives based on debate, committee work and democratic decision-making, and works with young people and schools in Latvia. We are also developing research and practical initiatives addressing current challenges in education, including teacher shortages, digital transformation and the responsible use of AI.
We are interested in long-term European partnerships and cooperation within Erasmus+ and other international programmes. BFFE can contribute to projects through access to schools and young people in Latvia, educational and youth workshops, piloting and testing of methodologies, research and data collection, dissemination, and expertise in education, AI, future skills and youth participation. We are particularly interested in cooperation with organisations working on youth participation, democracy and European citizenship, AI and digital education, teacher development, critical thinking and debate, inclusion, future skills, and innovative approaches to education.
