Baldiyarı Kindergarden

Our motivation and objective for participating as a project partner is to contribute to an international educational initiative planned to be implemented in collaboration with pre-school education institutions in Türkiye and countries from diverse cultural contexts. The project centers on nature-based early childhood education, the sustainability and intergenerational transmission of ancient agricultural knowledge, and intercultural learning. Designed within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, it aims to foster young children’s holistic connection with nature, support the development of sustainable lifestyle habits, and promote early awareness of the shared natural and cultural heritage of different societies.

In contemporary contexts, the diminishing direct interaction between children and the natural environment constrains the development of environmental awareness and sustainable life skills. In response, the project seeks to strengthen the social foundations of agricultural sustainability by integrating experiential nature-based learning with cultural heritage awareness during early childhood.

Aligned with European education policies, the project adopts a comprehensive approach that incorporates environmental responsibility, preservation of cultural heritage, sustainable development, and inclusive education. It is grounded in the pedagogical premise that values, attitudes, and habits acquired in early childhood generate long-term individual and societal impact.
