OUR PRINCIPLES
- To work with the Human Rights, universal law principles and international agreements of the Turkish Republic’s established philosophical frame.
- To stand against any causes of any sort of discrimination including race, language, religion, color, nationality, political orientation and similar causes.
- To connect the common values shared by the Balkan Peoples and Turkey.
- To be transparent, neutral and open to cooperation
- To introduce and adopt the common prosperities found in the historical and cultural heritance as well as in the social life of both Turkey and the Balkans.
- To keep alive the shared custom, piece, tradition and prospects.
OUR MISSION
Our Mission is spreading in all fields a social understanding of the fact that cultural, ethnic and religious differences are not threats but instead a great wealth with its harmony everywhere.
Accordingly, researching, understanding and supporting the historical, cultural connection or mutuality between the Balkan Peoples and Turkey; in addition to the endurance in cultural, academic, touristic, economic, and sport fields, supporting, developing and introducing the activities to be held. The basic of our mission is in fact showing and ensuring the possibility of a peaceful interacting of Balkan Peoples in their cultural, social and economic life, seeking recognition in the international level and spreading awareness in the public of the geographies hosting the association’s activities.

OUR VISION
As an NGO the association of Balkan Cultures’ alliance (BAKIDER), with the common shared values between the Balkan Peoples and Turkey, as an association with a mutual, local and international perspective, it has a vision of aiming to play an effective role countrywide and at the international level in protecting, introducing and developing the shared cultural values. Our vision is to approach both parties ensuring and developing their cultural interaction, contributing to settling their disputes not only but also to improving their relations and securing their dialogue as well as their cultural bridges.
In the field of activities, establishing Balkan cultural centers and opening representations in cooperation with public and private sector institutions/organizations and NGOs in the concerned geographies with a central contribution from the association to the protection, introduction and sustainment of our shared values through the activities and projects to be held.

THE PLANNED ACTIVITIES
- The organization of social, sport, touristic and similar activities in order to bring about a unifying rather than a separating perspective, including all Balkan Peoples.
- Encouraging of the comers to Turkey from the Balkans for causes like education, work or visiting as well as similar causes and orientation services to be ensured.
- Organizing foreign languages courses of the languages spoken in the Balkans to bring them ahead.
- In order to sustain the shared custom, piece, tradition and prospects, organizing various scientific courses and training.
- To translate and publish into and in Balkan languages, the important Turkish materials that are to introduce our shared values to the Balkan Peoples; Also to publish and translate into Turkish the written materials that introduce the Balkan Peoples to the Turkish Nation and closely connect both parties to each other.
- To celebrate religious, historical and national days important for Balkans and Turkey.
- Organizing art activities as of theatre, cinema, music and others for literature and scientific works.
- Creating new communication canals while supporting and developing economic occasions via visits and meetings.
- Contributing to the guiding proactive activities in the commercial-economic Turkish-Balkan relations.
- Activities of introducing written and visual aims using social media.
- As of the 10th article of the Law of Associations, working with the public institution and organizations through collective projects.
THE ADMINISTRATIVE STRUCTURE OF OUR ASSOCIATION

Our Association is composed of four different administrative organs. Among these four, the very first organ is the general body and the biggest body with all members of the association included in. The second is the governing body that is responsible for approving all decisions taken by the general body to be applied for life. The third organ is the assistants of the governing body known as the Country desks or National desks. To be the fourth organ and so the final one is the controlling body that is responsible for controlling the activities of the association.
