Ayvalık Yerel Araştırma Evi Derneği

AYEV Association is a non-profit civil society organisation based in Ayvalık, Türkiye. It preserves and shares the city’s local memory, cultural heritage, social history and urban identity through archival work, oral history, research and public learning activities. The association collects photographs, documents, ephemera and other materials related to Ayvalık, supports local and academic researchers, and organises presentations, interviews, workshops, cultural events and field-based activities. AYEV cooperates with Ayvalık Municipality, Ayvalık Site Management Directorate, schools, educators, artists and local experts. It also supports young people in research, project development, heritage awareness, active participation and the creation of accessible educational and creative outputs.
