Auslandsgesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt (AGSA) is an NGO organization with more than 41 member organizations in its network, working in the areas of development policy, European and international exchanges and the integration of immigrants into German society. The organizations offer activities such as: educational work in development policy, tolerance between people with different cultural background, consultation of migrants and promotion of refugee protection, immigration and integration.
AGSA coordinates 1200 events of approx. 80 cooperation partners that take place annually in one world house. Intercultural encounters, projects with students, film events, discussion rounds, and exhibitions of international art, language courses, seminars and club meetings make the house into a place of living together.
One of AGSA’s biggest projects is Eurocamp, an international youth camp which takes place every summer since 1992 with 80 participants from 30 countries. While working together and doing divers leisure time activities youngsters have the opportunity to try out living together with foreign cultures for three weeks and get to know the region of Saxony-Anhalt.
AGSA promotes international and national volunteering. As a part of the European Voluntary Service, she has been sending young people to various projects in Europe since 2005, and hosting volunteers for Euroecamp and local projects and coordinating volunteers by our project partners. The AGSA is involved in the cooperation and networking of international youth and volunteer work in Saxony-Anhalt and Europe. We also implement various international seminars and trainings on international youth education and project development.
